Tour Itinerary:
Day 1 (L)
Departure Cairns early for Cooktown, over the Bloomfield range (track conditions permitting) passing Cape Tribulation and Bloomfield falls. Stop by the Lions Den. Camping over night in Cooktown and dinner in town
Day 2 (BLD)
Drop by historic Old Laura Station. Enjoy the vast array of wild life Lakefield has to offer . Camping overnight in the National Park
Day 3 (BLD)
Leave the wonders of Lakefield behind passing the parks plentiful billabongs, waterholes and creeks as you travel to Musgrave Station. Take the time out to look at the station’s collection of old photos of the area. Tonight we camp at the station.
Day 4 (BLD)
Travel through the remote township of Coen and cross Archer River on your way the Gulf town of Weipa. Camping over night at Weipa
Day 5 (BLD)
Join a tour of the Bauxite mine and town tour (optional, own expense), or relax around camp before heading for Australia’s Northern most cattle station, Bramwell Station and our camp for the night.
Day 6 (BLD)
Today we make our way through Heathland reserve on our way to Twin Falls on the Elliot river where you can spend the afternoon swimming and exploring spectacular Indian Head Falls, Elliot Falls and Twin Falls. A beautiful area, the jewel of the Cape York Peninsular and your camp for tonight.
Day 7 (BLD)
Leave Twin Falls this morning feeling refreshed as you cross the Jardine River which is renowned for its crocodiles. We cross it by Ferry ! Shortly after we arrive at Loyalty Beach our Cape York base camp.
Day 8 (BLD)
Choose an optional tour day today (own expense), travel by inter island ferry to Thursday Island or Horn Island or take a flight over the Torres Straits. Alternatively relax by the beach at loyalty.
Day 9 (BLD)
Celebrate as you stand on the Northern tip of the Cape York peninsular. Pass through dense rainforest and strolling along deserted beaches on the way.
Day 10 (BLD)
Today you must pack your bags and we’ll take you down to the wharf at Seisia to board M.V Trinity, a working cargo ship that will take you through the waterways of the Great Barrier Reef on your way to Cairns.
Day 11 (BLD)
Continue south passing the islands and sand keys of the Great Barrier Reef.
Day 12 (BLD)
Arrive back in Cairns mid to late afternoon depending on tides, winds and sea conditions
