Ocean Freedom visits two amazing scuba diving sites on the Great Barrier Reef, Upolu Cay Reef and the "Wonder Wall" on the outer edge of Upolu Reef. The crew are passionate and knowledgeable about the reef, and will love showing you around these protected sites. Explore pretty coral gardens in the shallow waters of Upolu Cay Reef, before diving down to 10-15 metres on the "Wonder Wall". This spectacular dive site boasts hard and soft corals, gorgonian sea fans, anemone fish, Maori Wrasse, the occasional Bull ray and white tipped reef sharks. Don't forget to peak under the ledges to look for large painted Crays and check out the Bat fish by the boat!
Ocean Freedom's introductory dive program is suitable for anyone and everyone. No experience required! The professional crew of qualified dive instructors will introduce you to the wonderful world of scuba diving on the amazing Great Barrier Reef. You will never forget your first dive, breathing underwater and the feeling of total weightlessness.
SCUBA DIVING CONDITIONS:
- Certain medical conditions and medications may preclude some people from scuba diving.
- Minimum age for diving is 12 years.
- Flying after diving: A wait of 12 hours is recommended but preferably 24 hours, if doing multiple dives, before ascending to an altitude of 300 metres or greater.
